Naan Bread: I use the small naan breads.
Banana: Sliced thin.
Granola: Any kind you'd like.
Fresh Berries: Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries.
Peanut Butter: Use your favorite nut butter.
Honey: Optional, but so, so good.
Take a mini naan bread, set it on a paper towel or parchment paper, and microwave it for 10 seconds or so, just enough to make it soft. (You can also place naan in the toaster just like a slice a bread.)
Slather on some nut butter.
Arrange your favorite fruits and berries around the naan.
Sprinkle some granola on the top of each naan.
Drizzle on some honey and enjoy!
This is a flexible recipe that you can customize exactly to your taste.
Here are more easy topping ideas for breakfast or brunch:
Almond butter with strawberry, apricot or raspberry jam and granola.
Nutella with sliced bananas and hazelnuts or almonds.
Whipped cream cheese, sliced strawberries and fresh basil with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
Try whole wheat naan with ricotta cheese, fresh figs, honey and hazelnuts.
Here's an easy brunch idea - make mini naan breakfast pizzas with melted cheese, crisp bacon, fresh avocados and melted cheese. (Add a cooked hard boiled egg yolk or two if you'd like.)
Make a fried egg with seasoned with garlic powder, red pepper flakes and kosher salt and garnish with thinly sliced green onion to top your warmed naan.
These mini naan breads are fun switch from regular toast for breakfast, and easy (and cute) too.
Can I use other fruits than are listed here?
Sure can. That's the beauty of this recipe, it can be customized very easily with your favorite fruits and other toppings.
Is it necessary to heat the naan bread?
Sort of. When you take it right out of the package, it's pretty stiff and not that easy to bite in to. A quick trip in the toaster (go for as toasty as you'd like) or microwave will solve this.
