- ½ cup Peach puree made from 2-3 fresh peaches See tips
- 1 teaspoon Honey
- 1 cup Green Tea, regular or decaffeinated, chilled
- ½ cup Lemonade, chilled
- Ice, crushed
- Extra peaches, for garnish
Make a simple peach puree by peeling the peaches to remove the skin, then chop them and puree in a food processor or electric blender. Add the honey and let it process for about a minute. The mixture should be loose and pour-able, but still thick. Using a large jar with a lid, add a ½ cup of peach puree, the green tea, and ½ cup of lemonade. Fill the jar with ¾ of the way with crushed ice, then shake the mixture well to combine. Pour into two glasses over more ice, garnish with fresh peach slices if desired, and serve.
- Use other types of tea if you'd like! Lemon verbena, black tea or other varieties are good with this recipe too.
- Be sure to peel your peaches before you puree, otherwise you''ll have dark specs from the skin throughout the drink.
- If you don't want to use fresh peaches or can't use frozen, canned or peach pulp, juice or puree that's found in the juice section of the grocery store.
