Maggie was released to rescue in May 2006 because she is gun shy due to a bad experience with fireworks. She was born Sept 2004 with an AKC birth certificate (sire: Radar's Mystic Hawkeye and dam: Duchess Gabrielle). Her foster family found her to be sensitive about some noises but outgoing and friendly with a great attitude. She learned about cats, doggie day care, jumping fences for the sheer joy of it (bad dog, Maggie!), dining out at Boise's finest dog-friendly establishments and became a real social butterfly. She was Shadow & Eddy's favorite pesky little sister and she always listened when they told her "Enough!".
July 2006: Loren & Andrea were looking for high-energy dog to be a hiking, biking, running buddy and Maggie was eager to oblige them. Her new house has easy access to the Boise area trail system. Mind your manners Maggie, learn well and don't give your new mom & dad too many heart attacks while they learn about life with vizslas. (Special thanks to Jolene of The Right Care for Dogs for letting us help Maggie find that perfect home and to The Downtown Hound for putting up with her and Brody when her foster parents needed a time out.)
Spring 2007 update: Maggie got a new sister in December when Lexi joined the family. Loren reports Lexi has fulfilled her duty of keeping Maggie happy while they are gone and is also teaching her that water is fun.
